It divides the protected area into zones, with each zone typically covering a specific area or floor of a building. Detectors, such as smoke detectors or heat detectors, are wired to these zones. When a detector in a specific zone detects smoke or fire, the panel indicates the zone where the alarm originated. It also provides audible and visual alarm signaling. When an alarm is triggered, the panel activates sounders or bells and illuminates the corresponding zone or alarm indicators on the panel itself. This allows occupants to identify the general area where the alarm has been activated. RE 9012 Ravel Conventional Fire Alarm Panel requires separate wiring for each zone or circuit. Detectors, call points, and sounders are connected to the panel via dedicated circuit wiring.
